(*TRICK*) HOW TO INCREASE RAM IN ANDROID PHONE USING SD CARD – APRIL’16

Today I’m going to write a guide to teach you how you can increase RAM in your android phone using your sd card. 

We all know that Android is one of the best Operating Systems in the world. It is a versatile OS and most of all, it is open source. As a result do many manufacturers today are making Android phones. This has resulted in so many Android phones in the whole world. 

According to Google there are 1.4 billion active android users all over the world. Android has 85% share in the total mobiles all over the world. Android mobile ranges from 2000 to 55000 INR, not to mention the 251rs Freedom251. 

Not everyone of us can afford a 50k smartphone. Many of us own a smaller smartphone with average hardware specifications. On of the most important hardware specs is RAM, which indeed plays a very big role in the functioning of our smartphones. 
Unlike the flagship devices our phones do not have 4 gigs of ram, so we have to adjust with 1 gig or even lesser RAM in some cases. 

It is a very serious problem as you cannot play Heavy Games in your phone. Cannot run more than 2 or 3 apps at the same time. And the lag. That lag makes us crazy. 

Now we cannot do anything about you processor but we can definitely increase the RAM. To increase the RAM in Android, we will need a sd card, class 4 or higher, I would recommend using atleast 8 gigabyte sd card. We will convert the extra space in your sd card into virtual memory (RAM).

HOW TO USE SD CARD AS RAM?

By increasing RAM, I didn’t mean that we are going to open your phone, use a few screwdrivers, unpack the Phone, remove the motherboard and add a new RAM in it. 

Sure enough, that is a very tricky process and I’m sure that most of us can’t do this. Even if we are able to remove the motherboard, we do not find Smartphone RAM in the market Computer RAM.

Tricky steps aside, we are going to use some pretty simple methods to increase the RAM. 

We will convert the extra space on the SD card and turn it into virtual memory (RAM). This virtual memory will serve the same purpose as RAM and will let you run heavy games in your phone and obviously decrease lag. 

You can add upto 4 GB RAM  using this method. You need to just follow the steps carefully. It won’t take more than 20 minutes in any case.

HOW TO INCREASE RAM IN ANDROID PHONE:

To increase RAM in android phone using SD card, there are 2 broad methods. You will obviously need a rooted android phone in order to do so. If your phone isn’t rooted yet, then follow this TRICKS TO ROOT ANY ANDROID PHONE WITHOUT PC to root your phone pretty easily.

The first method is using an an app, obviously paid but you know how to download them ;). You will have to download this app and install it in your phone. 

The second method is a bit comlicated. It is a manual method in which you will have to re-partition your memory card and then use that extra space as RAM.

 FIRST METHOD :-

The very first step is to check if your Phone’s kernel supports SWAP (using SD card as virtual RAM). To check if your phone supports this or not, follow these steps: 

• Download and Install MemoryInfo & Swapfile check
• Click on START RAM EXPANDER TEST HERE
• If it is successful then continue on. If it is not successful then unfortunately you will not be able to increase RAM in your android phone. Though you can flash another kernel for your phone which supports SWAP.

REQUIREMENTS :

3. Your device should support SWAP.

4. An external SD card, class 4 or higher. I recommend using atleast 8 GB memory card.

1. Download and Install ROEHSOFT RAM EXPANDER app.

2. After installing, select your Default Language.

3. Now to increase RAM create a SWAP file by clicking on SWAP active and enabling it.

4. After the process is finished just click on the greay coloured box and activate the SWAP file.

5. BINGO! You have successfully increased RAM in you android phone.
